Family has always been the number one priority for the Johnson’s. Nothing has ever been more evident as they began to envision what Rev’d Up Fun would be. But the dream didn’t come to fruition overnight. It’s been a long-time coming as they jumped from building to building waiting for the perfect space, wondering if the dream would ever come to life. But first, before the envisioning and the searching, we should rewind and begin where it all started.
One bounce house and a truck back in the early 2000’s is what a soon to be inflatable business called Airborne Bouncers. Being the previous owners of Airborne Bouncers, there were a few things to be learned about the family entertainment business that would eventually lead us to where we are today at Rev’d Up Fun. One bounce house turned into 5, and then 10, and then eventually we built an empire of bounce houses, two rock walls, and other fun festivities. Every year since then, we did backyard parties, and big local outdoor summer festivals including, the Wyandotte Street Fair.
Fast forward to 2016. We sold Airborne Bouncers, and the dream of opening up a family fun center was the vision for the future. The path to opening up Rev’d Up Fun took well over a year as we kept searching for buildings, brainstorming names, ideas, and so on. Family was involved in it all as we worked, gathered around the kitchen table, and did everything we could to make sure the dream was not only brought to life, but done right. The process was long, and sometimes exhausting, but we knew we wanted to build up a place that valued family, so this is exactly what we set out to do.
After lots of hard work, and searching, we finally decided on moving into the old K-Mart building. Soon after, we got a hold of the keys and got to work. It took another few months for things to become a reality but soon, once everything was set up and XD Dark Ride, and Ballocity and Spin Zone Cars were installed, things started to feel more real. No longer was it an empty building, but it was a building with purpose, a purpose that would invite friends and families in, so that they could make unforgettable memories. Family poured their hearts into Rev’d Up Fun, and now it’s here for others to enjoy.
After many days of hard work, late nights, and discussions, we are finally open, and the waiting was indeed worth it. We have now been open since July of 2018, and there has been laughter, happiness, and memories made. Rev’d Up Fun was built by family for your family, and we hope you come in today to Play. Eat. Be Happy.
